Treatment for

Affected Areas

Treat the affected areas
with Sulphate of Ammonia.
Dry treatment, mix 3 lbs.
with enough sand fqjf ui>£t
form distribution (usually a
6 quart pail) to 100 sq. ft.
After applying when the sun
is down, water it, and do
not be discouraged if the
lawn appears dead. The
perennial grasses which you
desire such as contained in
Abel’s seed mixtures will
grow again from the roots,
while the fall or crab grass
which is annual will have
been controlled.

Seeding and

Top Dressing

Seed with Abel’s Grass
Seed and top dress with
Bovung (Pulverized Cattle
Manure) or Sheep Manure
which are excellent organic
materials for top dress.

How to Cut Grass

Do not cut grass less than
two inches, as at this height
it will shade the crab grass

and prevent its growth.

with Arsenate of Lead at
the rate of five poimds' per
1000 sq. ft. every two^ye:

Flowers for Autumn
Months May be
Sown Now

Quick growing annuals
like Alyssum, Calendula,
Candytuft, Centaurea, Gyp-
sophila, Leptosyneand many
others may still be sown to
bloom during the coming
fall months.
